Profile
Keep your details current, set your time zone, and create the email signatures that go out with your messages.
Personal Information
Open Settings → Profile from your avatar in the sidebar. The page has three parts: your personal information, your time zone, and your email signatures.
Your Details
- First Name and Last Name: how you appear to colleagues across Cardinal. First name is required.
- Email: changing it sends a verification message to the new address. Keep signing in with your old email until you've verified the new one; if the message doesn't arrive, use the resend? link.
- Phone Number: optional; must be a valid US number.
- Profile picture: click Change avatar to upload a JPG, GIF, or PNG up to 1 MB, then crop it and click Add. Use Remove picture to go back to your initials.
Time Zone
Your time zone is used for your notifications and for times shown to you. Dates that belong to a property always follow the property's own time zone, so everyone sees the same date for that property wherever they are.
- Find the Time zone section on your Profile page. If you haven't saved one yet, it's filled in from your browser.
- Pick a different zone if needed.
- Click Save to keep it on your profile, or Reset to undo your change.
Email Signatures
Keep up to three signatures in the Signatures section of your Profile page. Your default signature is added automatically to new messages and replies you write — in a reply it goes directly under your text, above the quoted conversation.
Creating a Signature
- Click Add signature.
- Give it a Signature name (up to 60 characters), such as "Leasing" or "Short".
- Write the signature in the editor. Use the toolbar for formatting and links, or paste a signature you already have.
- Check the two previews — Images loaded and Images blocked — to see how it looks to recipients whose email hides images.
- Click Save. All of your signatures are saved together.
Default & Availability
Default
- One signature is marked Default — that's the one added to your messages
- Click Set as default on another signature to switch
Available for use
- Each signature has its own on/off switch
- Turn off your default to stop adding a signature to new messages without deleting it
You always keep at least one signature, so the last one can't be deleted. At three signatures, delete one to add another.
Adding a Logo or Image
- Click the image button in the signature editor, then Choose an image — a PNG, JPEG, GIF, or WebP up to 2 MB. (You can also paste or drop an image straight into the editor.)
- Enter Alt text (required). Most email clients hide images until the recipient allows them, and this is what they read instead.
- Optionally set a Width in pixels; leave it blank to use the image's own size.
- Choose a Placement: Beside your signature text puts the image on the left with your text stacked to its right, the classic signature layout; In the line I'm typing drops it at the cursor, best for small icons.
- Click Add image. To change it later, double-click the image.
The image is attached to each message you send, so a smaller file keeps your emails light.
